Semantics delivers an introductory study on meaning in English language, covering topics such as propositions, referring expressions, universes of discourse, synonyms, antonyms, hyponyms, homonymy, polysemy, derivation, participant roles, and speech acts. Teaching and learning will be conducted through inquiry and discovery, in which the students are introduced to defining concepts with clarifying examples followed by exercises in the application of the related concepts .
